Rye City Police Officer Detective Gabe Caputo believes wholeheartedly in supporting youth and families in our community. From the time he completed a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and a master's degree in Counseling, he has been passionate about youth and their mental well-being.  Detective Caputo joined the City of Rye Police in 2015, was part of the Adopt a School Program, and since becoming a Detective in 2019 has served on the Youth Bureau.   Prior to becoming a Police Officer, Gabe worked in the Mental Health Field for over a decade, primarily with dual diagnosis patients.

The Post Road Market (PRM) has been a staple in Rye since  1937.  The PRM -- lovingly called "Jerry's" -- has been run by the founder's son, Jeremiah (Jerry) McGuire Jr and his wife Martha, for many years. It is now owned and managed by their daughter and her husband, Mary and Matthew Slater.  Jerry's is  a mecca to Rye kids, whose favorite fare includes the famed Jerry's chicken cutlet sandwich, Matthew's handmade donuts, and bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches.  Jerry's is the first stop for Rye alums returning home from college and a must-stop on Saturdays for many Rye families.  Cheers to the McGuire and Slater families for nourishing Rye since 1937!
