There are so many pressures on our kids today. Post-pandemic rates of
psychological distress among young people have increased: 1 in 4 youth are experiencing clinically elevated depression symptoms, 1 in 5 adolescents experience a mental health challenge each year, and 50% of all lifetime cases of mental illness begin by age 14.
Rye Youth Council (RYC) supports the social, emotional, and mental health of children, teens and youngadults, and empowers them with healthy coping strategies to thrive during life’s many stages.
Our programs serve as protective factors that can prevent a child from developing a mental healthchallenge or substance use disorder. When struggles do occur, kids need to know it’s okay to seek help andthat they are supported. RYC provides this mental health support and care.
Your support will directly impact our ability to deliver and expand these efforts,
Please give today. 100% of your tax-deductible contribution supports the social and emotional health and mental well-being of youth in our community.
Double Your Donation
Please consider doubling your impact with a matching gift. Many companies sponsor matching gift programs, which match charitable donations made by employees and their spouses. Some even match gifts made by retirees. These programs are a great way for companies to support nonprofit organizations and give back to the community. Most programs match dollar-for-dollar and therefore, it is a very powerful way for you to help support the activities of the Rye Youth Council.
