Youth Mental Health First Aid

This certification course teaches adults how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among adolescents ages 12-18. Includes:

  • Common signs and symptoms of mental health challenges and disorders in this age group, i.e., anxiety, depression.

  • Common signs and symptoms of substance use challenges and disorders. 

  • How to interact with a child or adolescent in crisis. 

  • How to connect the youth with help. 

  • Expanded content on trauma, substance use, and suicide prevention

Suicide Safety Training for Teachers

This training is designed to meet the basic needs of school administration, faculty, and staff. Emphasis is on recognizing warning signs, clarifying the referral process in place at school, and making a warm handoff. The training is mainly lecture-based and can be interactive.
