Rye Youth Council Employment Service (RYCES) connects Rye’s youth ages 14 – 22 with local employers for full-time and part-time employment and community service opportunities, year-round.
Employment throughout the year is beneficial to the social and emotional growth and mental well-being of teens and young adults. The job search and employment process develops a student’s sense of responsibility, increases their self-confidence, hones their communications skills and most importantly connects youth to the community around them, which builds a sense of civic responsibility.
RYCES facilitates the safe connection between youth and local employers. To use the Service, students and employers register on www.ryces.org and then use the service as often as they need. When registering, students indicate their skills, experience and interests. Employers post available jobs. RYCES staff actively refer jobs to students whose skills match an employer’s needs.
RYCES connects teens to these service opportunities, which deepen their understanding of the world around them, develops their character, and creates an awareness around their social responsibilities.
RYC offers most of its services free of charge, but could use your financial support. We welcome donations of any amount to Rye Youth Council. Want to donate? Click here.
