Rye Youth Council Employment Service (RYCES) online platform connects Rye’s youth ages 14 – 22 with local employers for full-time and part-time employment and community service opportunities, year-round.
RYCES facilitates the safe connection between youth and local employers. Students and employers complete a one-time online registration at ryces.org for unlimited use. RYCES staff actively refer jobs to students whose skills match an employer’s needs.
Connecting College Students to Parents Who Need Help During COVID-19
During this upcoming fall semester, parents will be seeking college-aged students to help with their kids’ day-to-day activities and school work. College-aged youth who live or attend school in Rye and Rye Neck can register at www.ryces.org . Current RYCES members of all ages are encouraged to visit the site to update their profiles and add new/current skills and experiences. Parents and business owners are encouraged to register and find their employment match!
Employment supports Social Emotional Learning
Employment throughout the year is beneficial to the social and emotional growth and mental well-being of teens and young adults. The job search and employment process develops a student’s sense of responsibility, increases their self-confidence, hones their communications skills and most importantly connects youth to the community around them, which builds a sense of civic responsibility.
RYC offers most of its services free of charge, but could use your financial support. We welcome donations of any amount to Rye Youth Council. Want to donate? Click here.
